About this course
A practical crash course for endoscopists performing ERCP who want to strengthen biliary access, stone clearance and the management of difficult cases. Short expert lectures are combined with supervised model practice in cannulation, cholangioscopy-guided lithotripsy and biliary stenting.
Learning outcomes
- Plan a stepwise cannulation strategy, including the difficult papilla, and recognize when to stop.
- Demonstrate cannulation, sphincterotomy, stone extraction and stent placement tasks on a model.
- Select cholangioscopy, lithotripsy or EUS-guided rescue appropriately and plan escalation or referral.
Course timetable
Saturday 12 December, 08:30–17:00, at the Cairo Marriott Hotel, Zamalek.

Good to know
- Practical times are scheduled group rotations, not individual operating time.
- Places are totals per course, not remaining places. The registration team confirms current availability, and a waiting list opens when a course is full.
- Already registered for the congress? Tell the team which course you want so it is added to your booking.
- After you register, the registration team confirms your place and arranges payment with you.
Assessment
Assessment combines a brief knowledge check with observed technical tasks and individual feedback. This one-day crash course supports, but does not replace, supervised ERCP training.
Based on: ESGE curriculum for ERCP and EUS training; ESGE guideline on endoscopic management of common bile duct stones.
